Small RNAs, noncoding RNA molecules < 200 nt in length, are classified into biotypes based on their molecular characteristics and fundamental biological functions: e.g. microRNAs, tRNAs, tsRNAs(tRFs and tiRNAs). They act as small regulatory RNAs at transcriptional and post-transcriptional levels pervasively in biological processes and diseases.
