Piwi-interacting RNA (piRNA) Profiling

Piwi-interacting RNAs(piRNAs) are a novel class of small non-coding RNAs isolated from the mammalian germline cells.The functions of piRNAs remain obscure.However,some preliminary studies have strongly suggested the important roles of piRNAs in retrotransposon control,epigenetic regulation and translational regulation.The array we use for this service is designed for global profiling the expression pattern and interrogating the exact functions of piRNAs.This capability offers a unique opportunity to understand the intricate expression networks of the largest class of small non-coding RNAs.

 

Long Non-Coding RNA (lncRNA) Profiling

Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs) are represented by 4% -9% of the mammalian genome.It is not until recently when lncRNAs' conserved secondary structure,splicing patterns and subcellular localization were revealed. The array we use for this service is designed for global profiling of long transcripts,both lncRNAs and protein coding mRNAs in human, mouse and rat.LncRNAs are selected from the authoritative data sources including NCBI RefSeq,UCSC,NRED,RNAdb,and related literatures.
